2yr old with PMS!
I am so sure Miss Maggie has PMS. What a horrid, grizzly bear of a toddler she has been for a couple of days now. I'm so dreading her hitting her teens. Wish i could say it's still a wee while away, but boy they grow so fast, it's gonna be a blink and they'll really be suffering PMS.
Poor wee Mags though. Not entirely sure what the problem is. Just a stage (We're hitting those horrible terrible twos_?, Teething (she's currently getting her eye teeth)?, Lack of sleep (she had cut down to a day nap every second day and was doing fine, but all of a sudden we seem to be needing it every day again)?, or hopefully not, but maybe she's about to come down with something.
As for Ryan he has regressed back to real baby-hood. He has struggled a bit with the move and decided he needed a dummy to sleep (that's the short version of the story). Oh how i wish he sucked his thumb like the girls, but the dummy is banned to his bedroom (I really hate them). Worst of all though is he won't go to sleep without his dummy, but he keeps pulling it out, so now i am also having to wrap him! (Actually this consists of pinning his arms inside his safety sleep), but hey it all works. Just hope he gets thru this phase and isn't too hard to break of these issues later.
Don't know if it's a boy thing or not, but he can't sit still. This is a huge issue when feeding solids. Messy on a drooly baby at the best of time, but with arms and legs swinging every which way and head bobbing all over the place, it is a very big mission to get the food in (and staying in!). Don't even start me on the raspberries with a mouthful of food!
Well that was a lovely little whinge (much needed today) and i feel so much better for having got it off my chest.

Happy Birthday Helen
Was my birthday yesterday. At 32 kinda ho-hum, but still nice to have a day where i'm spoilt. The really cool thing though is that i have discovered there is a song called 'Happy Birthday Helen' by Things of Stone and Wood. I have a song!!! Yay Me!
Anyway was a lovely day. I got a silver and diamond bracelet from Daryl and the kids and a Bryce Courtney (my fav author) book from Mum and Dad with a voucher for some new lingerie. Everyone has strict instructions to get me lingerie vouchers for Christmas next year, when i will be out of the maternity stuff and ready to look/feel sexy again! Went out for tea last night to the Lone Star. Ate way too much, but it was really great.
By the way did i say i have a song!!

DIY disasterous hubby
We have moved into our new home and it is great. So homely and the kids are having the best time playing outdoors and in the pool. Daryl is like a little boy in a toy shop with all the DIY that needs to be done. He is having the most fun of all, which is awesome, however i really wish he would stop and think about things before bulldozing ahead!!
Within 24hrs of moving in he had cut a big hole in the side of the shower. It was very dark inside (old crappy shower) and he needed more light so he could see to shave. Not too bad a job considering he really has no idea what he is doing! And we will eventually be renovating the whole bathroom, so it is only makeshift.
Within two days him and his brother-in-law had cut down most of the trees from around the pool. Again a good job. They were not sensible trees to have around a pool, ie ones with needles and big seeds that clog up pool filters. Not to mention the fact the trees shaded the afternoon sun off my clothesline.
My big whinge comes from him taking the wardrobe out of our end room. A job that needed to be done as we are turning it into a family room. However i had all my trade me 'for sale' clothes in the wardrobe. He decided to start during the crucial getting kids to bed time of night. Told me i had better move my stuff as it would be getting messy. Sorry Daryl, but i need to get kids to bed, can you do it for me or settle down and wait a moment. Of course neither of these were options, so off he went and pulled the wardrobe down around the clothes. Grrrr! I now have more washing to do so it's nice and clean in time to post away! He also stopped his banging once i put the kids to bed.... this lasted all of 1/2 hour, before banging, smashing and sawing began again. This morning he was up and straight back in to it. I'm not sure he even stopped for the bathroom before starting, LOL! And all before the kids were awake, needless to sat they didn't stay asleep for too much longer.
As we are planning on doing quite a bit of renovating i am now feeling a little nervous at his over-eagerness to get things done!
