A night off?

Can i deal with a night of no kids? It should really seem like such a lovely idea, but the whole separation anxiety would be a lot to deal with. One kid away i can cope with okay, but worrying about both at once i don't know that i would really get a chance to enjoy myself. Charlotte is heading down to Okiwi bay for the weekend with Nana, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. It's a long way away, which is a bit nerve racking, even though i know she is in great hands. Hubby and i thought it might be nice to use the opportunity to go to the movies together (something i haven't done in an awful long time). I asked my Mum to watch Maggie and she has offered to have her for the night. Do I, don't I? It's only one night and it's only down the road, sounds simple, but emotionally is huge.

Charlotte is 3 1/2 and Maggie is 9mnths although this photo was taken just over a month ago. I will get an updated photo of the two of them soon.

The beginning

My first ever blog. Probably won't be terribly exciting, but it's a chance to vent the days highs and lows. Blogging has been highly recommended to me by a friend, so we'll give it a go. Hope like heck it works as i'm not totally computer literate.
Hubby is away in Kaikoura at the moment fishing and so this has been a good opportunity to sit and have a play.
