Hubby goes grocery shopping

Let me begin by saying my usual grocery budget is $250 for a fortnight shop.
This weekend we are heading to Christchurch for 4 days so hubby informs me that we don't need to do the big grocery shop as we'll only be here for half the time. I needed to go in to work yesterday morning to help write up stocktake (Ryan came with me), so hubby decided to get the groceries himself.
When i got home i started to check what he had bought after i noticed he had forgotton the teabags which i had put on the list. 'i forgot your list, so i had to guess at what to get.... and i spent $250!' What happened to the little shop? I'm still not sure what he spent the money on as the cupboards and fridge still don't look particularly full. 'i had to get nappies' hubby informed me. '(I usually do too.) 'Well i had to get my two bottles of wine' (Yep i normally get them too.)'And i had to get meat' (what does he think i normally get in the groceries!?!)
He has neglecte some of the main things, bread, baby wipes, teabags and only got about half the milk we'll need, so on top of the normal $250, i'm still going to have to go and get some more stuff.
Oh well, he really did try which is kinda cute!

Smile update

As you have probably noticed, i've been a bit snaphappy today.

Let me go Mum, i'll be right!

Ryan just loves to be on his feet. I'm sure he's hanging out to get in the jolly jumper, but really needs a little more head control first. Will be awesome when he can get in there though.

Mmmmm! Chocolate icing!

Natureland

The girls have had a lot of fun petting the animals. The goat was lucky to get any rice bubbles from Maggie as she ate most of them herself!

MIlk anyone?

Another all nighter from my little boy. 10hrs this time. Needless to say ouchy ouchy ouchy boobs!

Also wanted to say that yay, Maggie has her spark back. Finally feeling better, athough still some recouping to do before she's 100%. Just so nice to see the sparkle back in her eyes and the cheeky attitude. She can be full on at times, but definitely have missed that in her.

It's time to clean house and take out the trash

I have cleansed the house of junk food. Biscuits, chips, choccies etc and will be heading to the supermarket to find lots of healthy snacks. See if we can't get this family healthy and super bug fighting strong. Will probably stop at the chemist also to get whatever vitamins etc they like to recommend.
I suspect our Christmas diet hasn't been the most bug fighting productive, so we'll see what this does. Hoping it might also clear up Ryans skin, which currently (on his face and chest) is lots of little pimpley dry yucky skin. I suspect my crappy diet might be doing it to him.
Bring on the fruit!

Bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs, ARGH!

I thought summer was supposed to be when you were healthy, out having fun in the sun and enjoying life. Well not this year for this family! We've all already each had a couple of flus and colds. Last week Ryan got a touch of bronchialitis, which he is finally mostly over. However now Maggie and i both have the same bug which has us coughing and hacking. Daryl i don't think has been 100% healthy at all yet this season and now Charlotte has a tummy bug with fevers, diahrrea and vomiting! So i/we have been up numerous times in the last couple of nights to all three kids. Needless to say i'm so tired! The tv has once again become a good friend to the girls and my small semblance of sanity and poor Ryan has been learning how to entertain himself in his bouncer with his play gym as Mummy is just to tired to entertain. I tried for a nap yesterday afternoon. Daryl went to the movies, i put Maggie to bed, turned on the tv for Charlotte, fed Ryan and put him to bed, was just dozing off when Maggie woke. Thought i'd still attempt the nap even with her up (she has a tendency to climb all over you lying on the couch) and managed 10mins before Ryan woke.
Thought okay i'd try again today. This time fed Ryan first, put him down, then Maggie into bed and tv on for Charlotte. I managed 10mins before i started coughing and hacking. Tried to ignore it to no avail, so got up, had a drink, settled back down and was just dozing off when Ryan awoke. (By now i'm nearly in tears!). Got Ryan up and put him on the boob while i rested my head back and tried to continue to doze. He finished and lay on me quietly, more dozing, but then Maggie awoke. Got her up, cuddled her on me and let Ryan entertain himself in his bouncer and dozed a little more, but then Charlotte's headache started to rear up again and more pamol was required. So now i'm up and whinging on here. I guess i have managed a couple of hours of broken dozing this afternoon, but how do i feel? S.H.I.T.E!
