Charlotte, my higglytown heroine

I have just been to Invercargill for the annual Powerstore EXPO. Heaps of hard work, but also heaps of fun. However that is not quite the story i am wanting to tell right now.
I left Thur morning and while i was gone Daryl was off work looking after the kids. The first day Daryl got called into work as the computers had gone down, so off he went kids and all. Knowing he was going to be focused on the computers he asked one of his staff (who will be know as J) to watch the girls for him. He left them playing in the office (which is in the centre of the shop). A few minutes later he heard a hell of a lot of screaming, so he looked up. To his horror he saw Maggie right at the edge of the main road outside and Charlotte hanging on to the hood of her jacket for dear life screaming her head off for attention. My dearest most wonderful 4yr old had saved her little sisters life!! Needless to say we are very proud parents and Daddy took her shopping the next day for 'whatever she wanted' (Make-up). Also needless to say J got a very nasty mouthful of words from Daryl, who has sworn that a. he will never leave his kids in the care of others, not even for a little while. and b. next time work has a problem on his day off they will just have to call head office for help!

The theme at rices this year was something starting with 'S'. Other than going as 'seven months pregnant' i wanted to be able to accomodate my belly, so i went as a social welfare mum. Please don't think that i am judgemental 'cause i'm not really, but i wore trackies, ugh boots and old cardy and carried one of Charlottes dolls under my arm. It did the trick anyway and was nice to be comfy in my trackies. (others were quite jealous). There were some good ones though - smurfs, sheep, Southern man (Vick from Pana), surfer man (he used an ironing board as his surf board). They were my favs anyway.
